About the Place
Douglas Burgers #8, nestled in the heart of Norwalk, California, stands out as a beacon for burger enthusiasts and comfort food lovers alike. This unassuming gem delivers an experience that feels both familiar and exceptional, offering a menu that balances variety with focused quality. From the moment you step inside, the clean, welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable meal.
What truly elevates Douglas Burgers #8 is the craft behind each dish. The burgers here are not just food; they are a celebration of bold flavors and generous portions. Take the bacon cheeseburger praised by Ashley Denise’s son—a perfect harmony of smoky bacon, melty cheese, and a juicy patty that satisfies every bite. Or the turkey club, lauded for its size and flavor, providing a hearty, fulfilling option that stands out from typical sandwich offerings.
Fries accompany these sandwiches not as an afterthought but as a carefully prepared side, crisp and golden, earning a nod from Derek Ortega and Steve Klopping alike. The compliment to the "perfectly cooked pastrami" speaks volumes about the kitchen’s attention to detail beyond traditional burgers. This commitment to quality extends to the breakfast dishes, a reasonably priced selection that invites you to start your day with something both satisfying and affordable.
Douglas Burgers #8 shines not only in its food but in its service. The team exudes warmth and attentiveness, with special mentions to staff members like Ofelia, whose kindness enhances the dining experience. It’s clear that customer care is as important here as the food itself.
In essence, Douglas Burgers #8 is more than a place to eat; it’s a destination worth traveling for. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or settling in for a hearty meal, expect consistency, quality, and genuine hospitality. The blend of flavorful, generously portioned dishes with a clean, inviting environment makes it a standout in Norwalk’s vibrant food scene. It’s a spot I find myself recommending often—come hungry and prepared to indulge.
“ It was our first time trying this place. I’ve heard good things!! And the rumors are true. My son had a bacon cheese burger, and he loved it!! I had a the turkey club and so far it’s the best I’ve ever had. It was gigantic, very fulfilling. Was able to take some home. We will definitely coming back. You MUST try. ”
“ Great tasting cheeseburger and fries combination! My girlfriend and I come from over 20 miles away to eat here sometimes, but it was on our way back from Long Beach this time and it was the perfect lunch! Staff is nice, good cook, and the food was delicious! Wish I had taken a photo to share... next time 'cause we'll definitely be back! Thank you, Douglas burgers # 8!! ”
“ We were on vacation in Southern California and ran across Douglas burgers. Usually when we are on vacation we like to try new places and have found that some of these smaller, family run restaurants have the best food. Douglas definitely fulfilled that. Their food is just wonderful. They have a nice variety but it's not overwhelming. They also have reasonably priced breakfast dishes so you should definitely try those at least once. The staff is multilingual so you don't have to worry if you speak a different language. They are also very friendly and the food is fresh and made right in front of you. ”
